Julia Marnin is a New York-based journalist who has covered courts, crime, breaking news, human-interest stories and more for national and regional news organizations.
She is currently a Senior Crime Writer at Us Weekly. Previously, she was a Senior Courts Reporter for McClatchy’s National Real-Time Team, with her reporting appearing across the company’s digital news sites, including the Miami Herald and The Sacramento Bee. Prior to McClatchy, she was a reporter for Newsweek covering national and international news. Her reporting has also appeared in other national and regional publications.
She grew up in a Philadelphia suburb in New Jersey and attended The College of New Jersey, where she studied English and journalism and worked for the university’s student newspaper.
She is passionate about telling stories that inform readers, highlight the people behind the headlines, and hold those in power to account.
